Since last March 29, 2022, in San Teodoro, getting married on the beach is possible. The new municipal regulation for the celebration of marriages and civil unions allows you to get married on the most beautiful beaches of San Teodoro and the entire north-eastern coast of Sardinia. Sea, beach, nature, but also food and wine and typical quality products, the territory of San Teodoro lends itself to being an ideal destination for “wedding tourism” for Italian and foreign couples.

The main locations identified in the regulations to host the celebrations are seven, one more beautiful than the other.

Now we present them to you, specifying their peculiarities and strengths.

1. La Cinta Beach

Among the symbolic beaches of the north-eastern coast of Sardinia, La Cinta beach is among the most loved and famous in San Teodoro. A five-kilometer arc of fine white sand dunes slopes gently into a turquoise sea. The beach is surrounded by a rich vegetation of Mediterranean scruband: juniper, sea lily, helichrysum adorn a still unspoiled landscape and give La Cinta a special charm.

La Cinta is an ideal place to organize a wedding by virtue of its proximity to the town of San Teodoro where all the support services are present.

2. Isuledda Beach

A jewel set on the north-eastern coast of Sardinia, Isuledda beach is located in the southern limit of the Tavolara-Capo Coda Cavallo marine protected area. An expanse of silky white sand that plunges into emerald waters of crystal clear colors. The beach of Isuledda is surrounded by the typical Mediterranean scrub of Gallura: the yellow of the broom, the green of myrtle and juniper, the vermilion of the strawberry tree fruits are the colors that distinguish this evocative and fascinating place.

Isuledda is suitable for hosting weddings as it is located a few kilometers south of the town of Teodorino. A magical location for a magical moment.

3. Lu Impostu Beach

Lu Impostu is one of the most evocative and loved beaches of San Teodoro. Voted among the most beautiful beaches in Europe in 2022 by Tripadvisor users (Read also Lu Impostu Beach is among the most beautiful in Europe in 2022), about a kilometer long, it is characterized by its unspoiled landscape, white sand and crystal clear sea. Located near the popular tourist resort of Puntaldìa, the beach delimits its northern border like a true natural work of art.

This natural paradise is also equipped with all comforts and services: the beach is accessible to people with disabilities and has ample parking, refreshment points, boat rental and bathing equipment. In the immediate vicinity there are campsites, hotels, restaurants, clubs and all services.

4. Costa Caddu Beach

For those who love coarse-grained beaches with some rocks, Costa Caddu is certainly ideal. Located on the southernmost coast of the Municipality of San Teodoro, very close to the Municipality of Budoni, it is less traveled by tourists and wilder than the previous beaches. There are no accommodation facilities or services nearby. This makes this beach a place of silence and relaxation, ideal for a wedding where the sound of the waves and the wind and the smell of myrtle and strawberry tree are the masters.

5. Cala d’Ambra Beach

Those who have seen this beach a few steps from the town of San Teodoro have called it “beautiful and wild“. With its six hundred meters in length, it is one of the most famous and sought-after beaches in the area. It looks like a wide beach, with light and thin sand, with crystal clear green-blue water. In the immediate vicinity of Cala d’Ambra there are refreshment points, boat rental and bathing equipment, an ideal place to get married.

6. Puntaldìa

The residential complex of Puntaldìa is one of the most prestigious in the north-west of Sardinia.

The village is located on a large peninsula outside the town of San Teodoro and offers a special atmosphere, surrounded by a setting of rare beauty, with beaches of fine white sand such as the enchanting ones of Lu Impostu and La Cinta, as well as the islands of Tavolara and Molara, coves surrounded by granite rocks and a sea of crystal clear water.

The sea is always calm and takes on an unmistakable color ranging from turquoise to emerald.
