All concerts with free admission will be those of San Teodoro Jazz, the sixth edition of the festival which this year will take place from Wednesday 1 to Sunday 5 September.

However, reservations are required and must be made through the online platform eventribe.it. Seating will be limited, spaced out and it will also be necessary to have the green pass.

It starts on Wednesday 1 September outside the borders of San Teodoro, in Ollolai, at the Museum of Mediterranean Masks. Here, at 5 pm, the clarinetist Matteo Pastorino will lead the ensemble STJ Experiment, presenting an unprecedented original production. Surprise guests will contribute to making a musical performance unique that will combine jazz and improvisation with the ancestral dance of the Mamuthones.
Reservations required by phone at 0784 569018 or by email at info@museodellemaschere.it.

On Thursday 2 September the festival will return to Piazza Gallura in San Teodoro: at 9 pm there will be Mumucs, the space where the Oristano singer and musician Marta Loddo takes refuge when her voice wants to multiply, repeat itself, chase each other until it is exhausted. Accompanying it is a loopstation and its effects, for a union between improvisation, rock and electronic music.

On Friday 3 September , space for one of the most anticipated guests: at 9 p.m. the American saxophonist Logan Richardson accompanied by an exceptional ensemble: Igor Osypov on electric guitar, Joe Sanders on double bass and Gregory Hutchinson on drums. Originally from Kansas City, he is considered one of the most influential and original saxophonists of recent years.

A double appointment will characterize the day of Saturday 4 September: at 9 pm the “Jumaan” project of drummer Juri Altana will open, with Antonio Masala on guitar, Mauro Dore on bass, and Jacopo Tore on piano. They will perform original compositions, revisited and contemporary classical standards in a mix of modern sounds and improvisation.
An hour later (at 10 pm) the protagonist is the project “Nuages” by the Apulian double bass player Mauro Gargano, for an absolute premiere in Italy. Drawing inspiration from Pierpaolo Pasolini’s novel “What are the clouds?”, contained in the feature film “Capriccio all’italiana” (1968), he will perform music poised between jazz, popular song, and contemporary music.

Curtain on the festival on Sunday 5 September at 6 pm in Costa Caddu, for an event created in collaboration with the g015 brand, an emerging Sardinian fashion house, which will create a celebratory garment of the festival for the occasion. On stage the SVM project, born from the meeting between Andrea Sanna (rhodes and synth), Nicola Vacca (drums and live electronics) and Mauro Medde (electric bass).

During the days of the festival, two photographic exhibitions will also be set up in San Teodoro, curated by the Museum of Mediterranean Masks of Mamoiada: “The everyday life of the myth” by Salvatore Ligios, in the Tourist Office in Piazza Mediterraneo, and “Mamoiada 1960” by Franco Pinna, in the restaurants La Mesenda & VerdeAcqua.

In Piazza Mediterraneo, moreover, on the evenings of 2, 3 and 4 September, the video “Masks and history of San Teodoro Jazz” will be screened, in collaboration with photographers Roberto Sanna and Paolo Addis and the Museum of Mediterranean Masks of Mamoiada.
