The famous “Travellers’ Choice Awards” ranking drawn up every year by TripAdvisor rewards the 25 most beautiful beaches in Europe based on user reviews.

In 2022, the ranking saw numerous Italian beaches awarded, considered by users to be the best based on their tourist experience.

In 18th place in the ranking we find the beach of Lu Impostu in San Teodoro, described by users as a real jewel of the north-eastern coast of Sardinia, with an unspoiled landscape of fine white sand, a crystal clear sea and Mediterranean vegetation with the scent of juniper.

Located near the popular tourist resort of Puntaldìa, the beach delimits its northern border like a true natural work of art.

The name “Lu Impostu” means “place of shipment”, but the origin of the name still remains uncertain.

The beach is one kilometer long and composed of dunes of fine white sand, surrounded by junipers, mimosas, lilies and thistles. The water is crystal clear and blue-green in color.

Not only a natural paradise, but also a place equipped with all comforts and services: the beach is accessible to people with disabilities and has a large parking lot (also suitable for campers), refreshment points, boat rental and bathing equipment. In the immediate vicinity there are campsites, hotels, restaurants, clubs, medical service and information office.

“A must see“, “It can be easily reached by car, paid parking contingent with the nearby and more famous Cala Brandinchi. The beach is very beautiful, the water is clear and slopes slowly but higher (you can therefore swim)“, “really not to be missed, exaggerated beach“.

These are just some of the 2345 reviews from travelers who visited the beach during their vacation on TripAdvisor.

What do TripAdvisor users say about Lu Impostu?
